Setback to MVA as Prakash Ambedkar’s VBA clears 8 names | Nagpur News – Times of India

NAGPUR/CHHATRAPATI SAMBHAJINAGAR: Putting to rest any chance of joining the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance in Maharashtra, the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) on Wednesday released its first list of eight candidates from Vidarbha for the Lok Sabha polls.
Though the Prakash Ambedkar-led VBA and MVA have not yet officially confirmed their breakup, analysts say the writing is on the wall.
Prakash Ambedkar also met Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange at his home in Jalna’s Antarvali Sarathi village on Tuesday night and later said he was ready to forge an alliance with him.
Jarange responded to the officer cautiously, saying he would take a call after consulting community members on March 30. Speaking to reporters, Jarange said he was not in a position to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to Ambedkar’s offer at present. He said the Maratha community wants him to enter politics and contest Lok Sabha polls.
