Shah Rukh Khan reveals why he is not acting in Hollywood films: ‘I don’t look nicer than Tom Cruise, I don’t dance better than John Travolta’ – Times of India

Shah Rukh Khan has been known as the ‘King Khan’ of Bollywood for his exceptional work and personality for more than 30 years now. Even if he had done no Hollywood films, his persona holds widespread reach and respect. As everybody is asking the same question, ‘Why is SRK not acting in Hollywood?’, King Khan himself revealed the reason behind it.
Previously, SRK shared that he was offered Danny Boyle’s 2008 movie ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. SRK was offered the role of a host for the TV game show ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’. But Anil Kapoor played the character as SRK reportedly turned down the project.
In an interview with The National News, SRK revealed that he will work in Hollywood if they approach him with a story of a 46-year-old brown Indian guy. The actor was 46 at that time. SRK made it clearer by saying, “I don’t dance better than John Travolta. I don’t look nicer than Tom Cruise. I don’t aspire to, not because I don’t want to, but because I can’t.”

The actor reacted to a rumor stating that he would share the screen with Leonardo DiCaprio in Paul Schrader’s ‘Xtreme City’. Shah Rukh mentioned that it would require six to eight months of preparations, and he had two more projects to complete. But this film did not happen.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will be next seen in YRF’s ‘Pathaan 2’. He will also share the screen with his daughter Suhana Khan in Sujoy Ghosh’s next thriller movie.
