Shahid Kapoor performed to his hit songs like Nagada Nagada and Shaam Shandaar at the WPL opening ceremony.
Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 Opening Ceremony: Bollywood’s heartthrob Shahid Kapoor enthralled the audience at the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 opening ceremony on Friday, February 23. The actor grooved to several of his hit songs from films like Jab We Met and Kabir Singh at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Shahid Kapoor made a grand entry on a bike set ablaze with sparklers. The actor looked dapper in a white and silver vest with matching pants. His entry on a motorbike was an homage to his character in the film Kabir Singh. Have a look at Shahid’s performance:
Shahid also performed on the iconic Nagada Nagada song from his popular film Jab We Met. The film was directed by Imtiaz Ali and also featured Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead. Shahid also grooved to the song Shaam Shandaar from the film Shandaar, in which he was featured with Alia Bhatt.
Earlier today, a video of the actor went viral online featuring him rehearsing his performance. He could be seen practising his bike entry and the hook steps of the Nagada Nagada song in the viral video. He also interacted with Kartik Aaryan and Sidharth Malhotra and gave both actors a warm hug. Check out the video here:
Meanwhile, besides Shahid Kapoor, several other big Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, and Tiger Shroff also performed at the opening ceremony of the Women’s Premier League.
A total of five teams – Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, UP Warriors, Royal Challengers Bangalore Women and Gujarat Giants – will be competing at the Women’s Premier League 2024 for the trophy.
