Shahid Kapoor went berserk when fans thronged the cinema halls on the re-release of We Met.
Shahid Kapoor took to Twitter to respond to fans’ reaction to the re-release of his hit film Jab We Met in theatres. Actor’s fans are seen chanting Mauja Hi Mauja in the cinema hall.
Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Khan’s Jab We Met is one of the most loved films of all time. Fans loved Bathinda’s talkative Sikhni- Geet and her unique love story with heartbroken businessman Aditya Kashyap. Imtiaz Ali’s film was again released in theaters across the country on the occasion of Valentine’s Week. Even after 16 years of its release, the craze for this cult romantic film remains the same. A clip from a theater showing the audience having a good time and grooving is testimony to the same, and the viral video has caught the attention of Shahid Kapoor as well.
It can be seen in the viral video that there is applause in the hall on Mika’s voice in Mauja Hi Mauja. Some can also be seen doing hook steps. The caption of the video reads, “Watched Jab We Met in theaters 16 years after its release and this was the reaction.” Sharing it again, Shahid wrote, “This is so special.”
Fans reacted to Shahid’s post and said that Jab We Met is not a film but an emotion.
A social media user wrote, ‘You are one of the best romantic heroes in the industry. When can we see you in another role like this? Aditya Kashyap is still the ideal man of every girl.
Another fan shared the kissing scene excerpt and wrote, “It’s a fad, it’s a 15 year old film’s cult following. Yes, the hooting, applause and applause are from the girls! FYI (for your information ) This is not a single screen, this is from PVR Orion Mall! This is a movie. This is a Bollywood Romance. It’s Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met.”
