Later to meet Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar expressed confidence in him and said that he would be able to resolve the issues.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will be able to handle the “internal issue” of the Shiv Sena, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar said along with 22 other MLAs amid minister Eknath Shinde’s rebellion, which seems to have led to a fall in the Maharashtra government.

The state government, ruled by the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress, is in a state of crisis. But, Pawar said he was confident that Thackeray would be able to resolve the issues and that he would meet the chief minister later in the day.

“There are no differences in the alliance and everyone has full faith in Thackeray’s leadership,” he said. “It is not an internal issue of the NCP. It is an internal matter of Shiv Sena, they (Shiv Sena) will inform us after assessing the situation,” he said.

The NCP chief alleged that this was the “third attempt to topple the MVA government”. Back in 2019, Pawar was instrumental in the formation of the coalition government. He said the government would complete its five-year term and would refuse to go with the BJP in case the state government falls.

Pawar further said that he will leave for Mumbai soon after the opposition meeting on the joint presidential candidate.
