Shiv Thakare has reacted to the gunshot firing outside Salman Khan’s house in Mumbai on Sunday, April 14. The television actor was spotted in town and asked to comment on the incident. Shiv said that Salman Khan is alright and nothing with happen to him as God is with him.

Shiv said, “Yaar, voh safe hain maine suna hai. Upar wale ki dua hai unke saath, kuch nahi hoga unko. Upar wale ke saath saath hum log ki sabki dua hai. Bohot zyada pyaar karte hain unse. Sahi hain voh. Upar wala saath hai (I have heard that he’s safe. God’s blessings are with him, nothing will happen to him. Our best wishes are also with him. We love him a lot. He’s okay, God is with him).”

For the unversed, in the wee hours of Sunday, April 14, gunfire was reported outside Salman’s house, Galaxy Apartments, in Mumbai. CNN News18 had reported that two people riding a bike fired gunshots outside his apartment on Sunday morning. It was reported that three shots were fired in the air. Following the incident, the security around Salman’s house has tightened.

A case has been registered against the unknown individuals in connection to the firing. Police sources said a 7.62 weapon was used in the firing. The bikers headed to the Western Express Highway, sources said, adding that there is a possibility that the men would have moved outside Mumbai. Police sources added that the shooters were from outside Maharashtra. Mumbai Police have initiated efforts to nab the culprits by examining CCTV footage.

Last year, Salman Khan found himself targeted by a death threat from Canada-based fugitive gangster Goldy Brar, who openly declared that the Bollywood superstar was on his gang’s hit list. Earlier in the year, Mumbai Police had filed an FIR against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, along with another individual, following an email threatening Salman Khan at his Mumbai residence.
