Shops Sans Fire Safety Face Heat | Vadodara News – Times of India

Vadodara: Fire department of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) sealed four commercial complexes and two furniture showrooms as they did not have firefighting equipment. They had been issued notices on October 19.
On Monday, four commercial complexes including the Sitaram Complex and Kunj Plaza in Chhani, VIP View Complex in Karelibaug as well as Maruti Complex in Nizampura were sealed.
Besides the commercial complexes, two furniture showrooms in Warasiya — Shiv Shakti Furniture Hub and Shriji Furniture Hub — were also sealed.
The fire officers also disconnected the power supply to these complexes and showrooms. Sources said that similar action is likely against other commercial establishments in the coming days.
