Snapchat, the popular social media app, is currently experiencing downtime, as evident from reports on X (formerly known as Twitter) and the outage monitoring website Downdetector.
Users are encountering challenges in sending snaps and messages to friends. Data from Downdetector indicates a significant surge in the number of outage reports submitted by users. Notably, it was non-functional for more than 4000 users at one point between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM today, on February 9.
Furthermore, the outage map highlights users from various regions in India grappling with these issues.
Although there is no official statement regarding the duration of these problems for Snapchat users, they persist as an ongoing concern for users at the moment.
Meanwhile, X has become a home for a meme fest that has originated post this development. “Everyone flocking to twitter when they see that Snapchat is down,” a user who goes by the username @SankiPagalAwara, said.
Another user expressed disappointment, saying “when snapchat is the only way you communicate with your friends and it stops working.”
