Legendary English footballer David Beckham is currently in Mumbai to fulfill his responsibilities as a UNICEF ambassador. During his visit, he received an invitation from Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and his husband Anand Ahuja for an intimate dinner gathering.

The couple hosted an extravagant welcome party at their Mumbai residence, captured in a video shared by celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani. Later in the evening, David Beckham, Sonam, and Anand Ahuja were spotted posing for paparazzi outside the residence. Sonam Kapoor even extended Diwali wishes to the paparazzi before bidding farewell.

Dressed in his signature style, David Beckham charmed in an all-black ensemble as he posed for the paparazzi. Sonam Kapoor, on the other hand, epitomised style and grace in a red saree paired with a kaftan-style blouse. Accentuating her look with a choker and matching earrings, she completed her ensemble with a neat bun adorned with red roses. Anand Ahuja complemented her attire in a stylish black kurta.

Apart from David Beckham, other guests at the party included Sonam Kapoor’s dad Anil Kapoor. Her friends Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar were also spotted arriving at the party.

Earlier in the day, the football legend, on a brief three-day visit to India, attended the first semifinal of the ongoing World Cup between India and New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium. Sharing a snapshot alongside cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar on Instagram, David Beckham expressed his gratitude. “What an incredible atmosphere…Thanks to UNICEF and Sachin Tendulkar for making me so welcome at the Cricket World Cup. These fans have such amazing energy.” During the match, he had an opportunity to connect with Indian celebrities including Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Venkatesh Daggubati, and more.

David Beckham also paid a visit to Gujarat to understand the state of the action and contribute towards advocating for child rights and gender equality.
