Sophie Turner and her estranged husband Joe Jonas filed for a divorce in September 2023 after four years of their marriage. They share two daughters Willa and Delphine.
Actor Sophie Turner and her husband Joe Jonas filed for a divorce in September 2023 after four years of their marriage. The duo had a temporary custody agreement in place of their children. Sophie and Joe share two daughters, Willa, whom they welcomed in 2020 and Delphine in 2022. Jonas filed for a dissolution of marriage from Turner in September 2023 and claimed that “the marriage between them is irretrievably broken”. As per PEOPLE, Turner’s legal team has now asked the judge to reactivate her divorce case with her estranged husband.
Turner and her attorney filed papers in Miami-Dade County, Florida on Monday stating “the abatement has come to an end and the case has to be re-activated,” as per documents accessed by PEOPLE.
Turner and Jonas, who tied the knot in May 2019, earlier in October 2023 in a joint statement announced that they have agreed that their children will be spending time both in the US and the UK equally.
“After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the U.S. and the UK. We look forward to being great co-parents,” the statement read, as per PEOPLE.
Earlier, Turner sued Jonas for wrongful intention soon after the news of their divorce went public in September. The Game of Thrones star had accused Jonas of withholding their children’s passport which made the kids unable to travel to their mother’s home in England.
However, in January Turner dropped the wrongful intention claims against Jonas, reported PEOPLE.
The couple announced separation with a statement on their Instagram handles that read, “After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
Reportedly, Turner is currently dating Peregrine Pearson. Recently several pictures of Turner and Pearson engaging in a cute PDA moment in Paris went viral on social media.
