Despite making her debut in 2020 with Popcorn Tiger Monkey, it was not until Kantara in 2022 that she made it big in the industry. The thriller-action film garnered praise, earning an impressive 8.2 rating on IMDB. Sapthami’s stellar performance earned her widespread acclaim and opened doors to numerous opportunities in the industry. Now, rumours suggest that she’s eyeing a debut in the Tamil film industry alongside Nithin Kumar Reddy.
While details about her role remain undisclosed, Sapthami is preparing for the film by undergoing horse riding lessons. The contract has been signed and shooting is scheduled to commence shortly. Sapthami recently played the lead in the Kannada action-drama film Yuva directed by Santosh Ananddram. Actors Prakash Raj, Achyut Kumar, Natana Prashanth and Hitha Chandrashekhar were also in the movie along with Yuva Rajkumar in the titular role. In the film, Yuva plays the role of a national-level wrestler who lives in Bangalore with his parents and an elder sister. As Yuva, along with his coach Veeranna Doddamani gets banned from the sport due to wrong allegations of fixing matches, he leaves the city and joins an engineering college in Mangalore. After going through a lot of difficulties and hitting rock bottom, Yova starts training for the wrestling championship again. His coach helps to lift the ban on them by catching the real culprit. Finally, Yuva wins the championship and the movie comes to an end.
