In the 34th match of IPL 2023, Delhi Capitals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven runs. Batting first after winning the toss, Delhi scored 144 runs in 20 overs losing nine wickets. Manish Pandey and Akshar Patel played an inning of 34-34 runs.
In response, the Sunrisers Hyderabad team could only manage 137 runs after losing six wickets in 20 overs. Mayank Agarwal scored the highest 49 runs. At the same time, Heinrich Klaasen played an inning of 31 runs in 19 balls. For the first time in the history of 16 seasons of IPL, Delhi has defended a target of less than 150. This was Delhi’s fifth consecutive win over Hyderabad.
