No fully comprehensive biopic on a personality as deep as Mrinal da is possible in a feature film. I think a webseries would have done more justice to him. But I am happy with the film. Chanchal Chowdhary Justice has been done to Mrinal da’s character. He is an amazing actor. Their resemblance is uncanny.

Mrinal Sen who started his career as a director Raat Bhore Became one of India’s most recognized directors in 1955 Bhuvan ShomeEk Adhuri Kahani, Mrigaya, Akaler Sandhane and Khandar, among others.
Padatik, the title of the Mrinal Sen biopic, comes from Sen’s 1973 film of the same name.
