SS Rajamouli thanks the team for the exciting first look of Kalki 2898 AD.
SS Rajamouli shared the first glimpse of Nag Ashwin’s upcoming magnum opus Kalki 2898 AD with a special heartfelt note for the entire team.
During the San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, the makers of Project K revealed the first glimpse of Prabhas’ Project K. Earlier, the first look of the actor was released but it did not receive an overwhelming response from the fans. At the event, the team of the project unveiled the title, teaser and release date of the film. The film has been titled Kalki 2898 AD and the first look features Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Prabhas in a futuristic setting. The teaser depicts them as warriors amidst a war-like scenario. The film is scheduled to release in 2024. Reacting to the first look, SS Rajamouli has congratulated Nag Ashwin and Kalki the entire team of 2898 by sharing the teaser and penning a heartfelt note.
The RRR director took to his Twitter handle and praised the makers for taking up this massive project despite the challenges of making futuristic films. His tweet read, “Nagi and Vyjayanthi films are doing great work. Making an authentic futuristic film is a tough job and you guys have made it possible..Darling looking fabulous..Only one question remains…Release date… #Kalki2989AD.”

Creating history, Project K becomes the first Indian film to debut at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in 2023. Prior to the event, a billboard for Project K in Times Square, New York City, carried the message to onlookers, “First look July 20.” Earlier, several pictures of Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and Rana walking around the US had surfaced online as they arrived in the country ahead of the event. Prabhas and Rana dressed in ‘What’s Project’ outfits. K’ T-shirt seen with his back to the camera. A signboard reading ‘Hollywood’ was seen in the background. The caption accompanying the picture read, “The men have landed in the United States. See you in San Diego July 20.”
Earlier, the first look of Prabhas was revealed. In the poster, Prabhas, who is said to be the ‘rebel star’ of the film, sports a metal armour, goatee and a bushy beard. This science-fiction fantasy thriller is slated to release in January next year. Apart from Prabhas and Rann Daggubati, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Nag Ashwin will participate in the panel discussion.
