A naughty girl She was the only child of her parents, so she was also pampered. After passing 12th, the family members got married. Had two sons. The financial condition of the family was not good so opened a beauty parlor. Then the accident happened. First the father died. Then the husband’s. End of everything situation. Bluetipporler broke down. The condition became so bad that there was no money even to feed the children.
How did life get back on track after this? Where did the idea of making videos on social media come from? How did you become a star overnight? To know how much money she earns today, we reached Srishti’s house in Rae Bareli. Let’s know everything from one side.
My father fixed my marriage at the age of 17
Srishti was born in the house of Madan Kumar Singh in Sultanpur district. Srishti was the only daughter of her family. Father used to do government job. Parents used to take full care of Srishti’s education. Everything was going well at home. Srishti turned 17. She was studying in 12th. Then suddenly his father had a heart attack. Father’s health started deteriorating. He also got diabetes.
Srishti says, “Everything came to a standstill due to father’s illness. His medicines continued for several months. My studies were also not doing well. Papa had had heart attack twice. Medicine expenses, household expenses, my studies… Life had become very difficult. Some time passed. When my father’s condition started deteriorating, he started worrying about my marriage. They thought my mother was alone. If anything happens to her, how will mother be able to handle the responsibility of my marriage alone.
“The preparations for my marriage have started. I wanted to study but father used to think that daughter is a big responsibility, so I should get married while she is alive. My father arranged my marriage in a simple family. The boy with whom my marriage was fixed was neither he nor I was well educated. Got married and I came to my in-laws house.
Nothing in my in-laws house was like my father’s house
“I reached my in-laws house. Everything was very different here. There was nothing like Papa’s house. As soon as I reached my in-laws house, all the responsibilities were imposed on me. If there was a slight ups and downs, everyone would start taunting. Everyone there wanted me to remain imprisoned in the four walls of the house and do four utensils. I used to cry silently sitting alone in the room.
Srishti tells that a year had passed since my marriage. Somehow our household was running. Then the news came that my father had passed away. After this it was as if my world had ended. With great difficulty I came out of this grief. I gave birth to a boy. Me and my husband were very happy, but now the difficulties started increasing due to the increase in expenses.
“As long as father was there, there was some help in the expenses. But after father’s departure, our troubles increased further. Somehow we started living. I got pregnant for the second time. This time my husband and I were more worried than happy about how we would be able to raise two kids.”
Done beautician’s course by juggling 250 rupees
Srishti did a beautician’s course by arranging money. After that she opened a parlor to help her husband in taking care of the children.
Srishti says that both my husband and I were less educated. We didn’t even have enough money to complete our studies so that we could get a respectable job. Then I came to know that a beautician’s seminar is going to be held near my house. The seminar was of 15 days and things related to parlor were to be taught in it. Somehow I managed to manage 250 rupees and joined the seminar. At that time this was the only thing in front of me for which there was no compulsion of education. I learned the work of a beautician there. I was already fond of all these things, so I learned to work well in less time.
“After learning work, I told my husband that I want to open a parlour. He also supported me in this decision. I opened a small parlor with a low budget. Slowly women of the locality started coming to me. When I liked the work, the crowd started increasing in the parlor. I used to earn well. The household expenses would also be covered and our needs would also be fulfilled.
I thought that now everything will be fine, all our problems will be easy, but…
I had an accident and my whole world came crashing down
Srishti told that after earning from the parlour, everything started going well in the house. One day my husband had gone out for some work. The news came that he had met with an accident. My husband is no more. This news felt as if the ground slipped under my feet. After the departure of the husband, the behavior of the in-laws started getting worse.
It is auspicious to get makeup done by a widow for marriage. No
She told that after the death of her husband, her life got derailed. Being troubled by the taunts of the in-laws, I could not even do any work. There were whispers in the neighborhood that it was not auspicious to get makeup done by a widow for marriage. Gradually women stopped coming to my parlour. Due to which the parlor was closed. The only means by which I could support my children was gone.
On the other hand, my in-laws started instigating both my children against me. Those people started taking him away from me. Don’t let the children come near me. Nor would he let me talk. It started coming to my mind that my husband has gone away from me, lest in-laws snatch away my children too. So I took a decision one day and went to live in a rented house in Sultanpur with my two children.
I didn’t even have money to feed my son
“I came out of the house with the money I had saved, but now there was no way to earn. I had a very young son. At that time I did not even have enough money to feed him properly. Would buy milk for him with some money. Mixing half water in it, would give it to my son so that that much milk would last for a long time.
“Some days passed, then I went to the school from where I passed 12th to ask for help. I met the principal there. I was very good in sports during my school days, so she decided to help me. I asked the principal Helped to start my studies. Took a B.Ped degree. Also I started teaching children in the same school. The money I got from that used to cover our expenses.”
A boy named Ayush fell in love with this mother of two
Srishti-Aayush and Srishti’s two children are in the picture. Both these children are from Srishti’s first husband who died in an accident.
“Slowly things started coming back on track. I used to get the kids ready in the morning, drop them to school and go to work myself. The school principal would drop me every day at the time of my kids’ leave. Everything was going well. Later that day I went to my friend’s house near home where some of her other friends had also come.
There I met a boy named Ayush. With the passage of time, the friendship between Aayush and I started growing. My kids loved being with Ayush. Whenever all the friends used to come to my house, Aayush used to spend more time with my kids. He started helping me with household chores and other small tasks.”
“One day Ayush came to my house. He said that he wanted to marry me. Hearing this, I could not speak for some time. Later I realized that I scolded Ayush that he knew what he was saying. This doesn’t happen in this society. How can an unmarried boy marry a mother of two children. On top of that Ayush was younger than me as well.”
When we got married, we broke off relations with Ayush’s relatives.
“I used to fear the society in the name of marriage itself, but Ayush was determined that he has to marry me only. He talked to his parents about it. At first he was not ready for this marriage but After persuasion, he agreed for our marriage. We got married. Ayush adopted both my children along with me.
Everything was fine in our family. Ayush’s parents also adopted me. But all his relatives stopped talking to our family. He broke all relations with Ayush. Whenever we go out anywhere, people would point towards us and say that this is the same boy who married a widow who is the mother of two children.
Due to this behavior of relatives, there was a burden on my head that Ayush has to listen to all this because of me. That’s why this yearning to find myself and to be recognized by my name only gave me courage. Then I started walking on that path, which reduced the burden on my head.
My hand got burnt while making the channel and work stopped
“I created a YouTube channel. I uploaded two videos of my home life on it. The videos did not work. I thought that if I put such content every day, then some video would definitely go viral. But before that could happen, my mother-in-law got burnt by the heater. Both my hands got burnt trying to save them. Our youtube stopped even before it could start.
Few days passed. One day I thought there is a new channel. If I don’t put videos in the beginning then my channel will never do well. So I started making videos with bandaged, burnt hands. Initially two videos were put, then in a single day I put 3 videos. The fifth video started doing well.”
5th video has over 1 million views, earned $108
Srishti has more than 1 million followers on YouTube. Srishti tells the love of the people as her real earning.
“Four of our videos did less well but the fifth video got 1 million views in no time. We also got paid $108 for that video. There was no joy in our house that day. That first payment gave me courage And we started making videos continuously. 95 thousand rupees came after a few days. Now money comes from Facebook along with YouTube. 1.54 million followers of our channel on YouTube and more than 1 lakh on Instagram There are followers, so there is income from there as well.”
“Within a year and a half, we got 15 lakh 40 thousand subscribers on our YouTube channel. People started recognizing us. The people who had broken the relationship earlier, now the same relatives are treating us well. Many people have come to our house again- Started going. This also reduced the burden on my head that Ayush heard so much for me, so I was able to do something for him.
At present, Srishti and Ayush currently live in Rae Bareli. The whole family now makes videos on social media. Millions of people are liking his videos. There is an income of lakhs of rupees. People get love. Srishti tells people’s love as her real earning.
