Jhansi: Four students won the title cosmic club trophy in the final stages of astronomy held in competition Bundelkhand University Auditorium on Sunday. Jointly organized by Jhansi Smart City Limited and Cosmic Cup, the competition was organized in three phases, in which 848 students from around 50 schools of the city participated. The object of the competition was to judge the knowledge of the students in astronomy.
On Sunday, the five finalist teams took the hot seat to answer questions on Astrophysics, Cosmos and Astronomy. After three grueling rounds, the team messier The winner was declared. Team participants Arva Agarwal, Tarun Gupta, Om Pathak and Kashika Chaturvedi trophy and a cash prize of Rs 25,000. Earlier, Chief Guest SSP Jhansi Rajesh S and Municipal Commissioner Pulkit Garg motivated the children to participate in such competitions for all round development of personality.
Garg also informed that the city will soon have its own planetarium and its construction is being done on a war footing near the State Museum.
Competition organizer Kushagra Srivastava said that five teams were selected after two rounds of online and offline competition. A native of Jhansi, Kushagra recently completed his senior secondary from Singapore where he went on scholarship. He has formed a startup with some of his like-minded friends to organize contests.
