Director David Ayer will direct Paramount Pictures’ upcoming film ‘Heart Of The Beast’.
Basking in the success of his latest venture ‘The Beekeeper’, director David Ayer is now gearing up for another exciting project and will reportedly direct Paramount Pictures’ next film. According to a Deadline report, Ayer has signed as the director for Paramount’s upcoming film ‘Heart of the Beast, which will be produced by Damien Chazelle, best known for helming films like La La Land and Babylon.
Ayer will be joining Olivia Hamilton under their Wild Chickens Production banner as a part of their first look deal with Paramount. While the film’s script has been written by Cameron Alexander, he is also serving as the executive producer alongside Richard Raymond. Additionally, Ayer and Chris Long are producing the project under their Cedar Park Entertainment banner.
Talking about the film, Heart of the Beast follows the story of a former Navy SEAL and his retired combat dog. It will show how the partners attempt to return to civilisation after they are stranded in the Alaskan terrain following a catastrophic accident. From the premise of the film, it seems like it will bring Ayer close to his appreciation for the military and veterans by highlighting the challenges that military people face after serving. It was also reflected in the 2014 film Fury. Starring actors like Brat Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, and Logan Lerman, the film is set in the backdrop of World War II and shows Ayer’s attention to detail about sensitive topics.
Currently, no further details have been revealed about the film or its cast.
