The Bharatiya Janata Party is preparing for a major reshuffle in Punjab. The command of Punjab BJP may soon be given to a new face. Apart from the old faces of the Punjab BJP, the names of the leaders who left the Congress are also included in this race. But the Center wants to take this decision carefully, in which the name of senior and experienced leader Sunil Jakhar is coming forward. Jakhar has also been the head of the Punjab Congress.

The discussion on the name of Sunil Jakhar started from the Gurdaspur rally of Home Minister Amit Shah. But after the senior leaders of BJP came to know about it, protests have also started. This is the reason why the high command is now busy in convincing the senior BJP leaders.

According to the information received, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has been entrusted with the responsibility of pacifying the opposition within the BJP before announcing Sunil Jakhar’s name. The BJP’s current target is the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The way Sunil Jakhar was presented on the stage in Gurdaspur, it is clear that he is being groomed as a MP candidate apart from the Pradhan.

A faction of BJP has become calm
At one time in BJP, two names Kamal Sharma and Ashwini Sharma were at the top. But after the death of Kamal Sharma, one group became completely calm. On the other hand, Navjot Singh Sidhu has already left BJP and joined Congress. Meanwhile, the Ashwini Sharma group, after breaking away from the Akali Dal, could not do much in the elections. Because of which the attitude of the high command became more towards the experienced leaders who left the Congress.

Rural Punjab is the target of BJP
Talking about the politics of Punjab, there are 7 big faces who have joined the BJP. Apart from former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Sunil Jakhar, former Finance Minister Manpreet Badal, former ministers Gurpreet Singh Kangar, Rajkumar Verka, Sunder Sham Arora, Balbir Singh Sidhu and Rana Gurmeet Sodhi are among them. The BJP hopes that these are the faces who can help it reach its target of 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab.
