In an exclusive interview with ANI, SunilHe said, “I have seen the film. After watching the film I am very disappointed… The thought came to my mind why did I go to see the film? I didn’t like the picture at all. There are only a few.” Two things that I can say that I liked about the film – the background music and the cinematography. Barring these two aspects, the film disappointed me badly.”
“After seeing the picture, I didn’t know how to react to it. Keeping myself aside because I played a character in RamayanaEven the people sitting around me in the theater were not happy watching the film. Two women were sitting and saying to each other, ‘Let’s get up and take a walk. What the hell are we watching?’ To this the other woman said, ‘Let’s see the visual effects if nothing else.’ A man sitting next to me said to his friend, ‘What in the name of Ramayana are they showing?’ In what sense is it modern? Does getting the characters tattoos make the film modern? Or is it the hairstyle of today?”
He said, “From the characters to the execution, nothing about the film made an argument. I don’t know for whom the film was made. They made Hanuman-ji speak the language of the streets. Ravana is shown beating iron . Is he a blacksmith?”
He further added, “I had high hopes from this film. Since it was talked about a lot, I expected it to be a good viewing experience. When the media reached out to me, I said I will not give up. ” A statement until I saw the movie. After watching the film, I didn’t know what to say.”
