Varun Dhawan and Shashank Khaitan are team up again after the hit Dulhania series starring Alia Bhatt. But, this time, Varun and Shashank have teamed up with Janhvi Kapoor. The romantic film is titled Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and is being produced by Dharma Productions. The film is slated to release on the silver screen on April 18, 2025.
Earlier, reports were rife that the beloved ‘VARIA’ aka Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are not returning for Dulhania 3. Varun and Alia were seen in the blockbuster films Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania by Shashank Khaitan. However, it was said that Alia will not be returning to the franchise and Janhvi Kapoor was to fill her shoes in the third film. But looks like, Karan Johar has come up with a new franchise. The teaser introduces Varun and Janhvi’s character names set to a peppy song titled ‘Ishq Manzoor’. Check it out here:
Earlier, a source had told PeepingMoon.com, “Dulhania 3 will have a different plot and characters and is in no way connected to the previous parts, much like the approach taken with Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The pre-production for the film has already begun and will go on the floor in the next few months,” the report stated. Dharma Productions and Karan Johar are yet to comment on the report.
Varun and Janhvi have a few movies in the making this year. While Varun is busy with the remake of Theri with Atlee and will be seen in Citadel India with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Janhvi has films with Sidharth Malhotra and Tiger Shroff in the making. She also has Devara with Jr NTR in the pipeline. The film marks her Telugu film industry debut. Varun and Janhvi have worked together in Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal.
