Nashik: The Jalgaon police arrested a police sub-inspector, already suspended in a corruption case, for his role in a bank robbery within 36 hours of the crime.
He was arrested along with two of his relatives for stealing Rs 17 lakh from a bank and gold worth Rs 3.6 crore Kalika Temple Branch of a nationalized bank in Jalgaon.

He also regularly performed chest operations. along with sooryavanshi Shankar And Ramesh Jasak planned the heist, which was executed by the suspended cop, Rajkumar claimed.
The SP said that the police teams initially had no clue about the identity of the suspects as they had even taken them dvr (where the CCTV footage was stored) with them while fleeing.
Rajkumar said, “During the interrogation of three sanitation workers, the bank manager and the security guard, Suryavanshi’s statements were found to be contradictory. So we focused on her.”
The robbers also stabbed the manager in the thigh and used his bike to escape. When the motorcycle could not be traced despite the blockade, police teams started searching every street in the town. He found the helmet floating in a drain about 1.5 km from the bank.
