Symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes: Digestive Problems to Keep in Mind The Times of India

Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes, in which your body fails to use the insulin in your body. Insulin is a hormone that controls the movement of sugar into your cells and regulates blood sugar in the body. That said, with type 2 diabetes the body either doesn’t make enough insulin or it resists insulin. Either way, it elevates blood sugar levels to dangerous levels, leading to various symptoms and complications.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 95% of people with diabetes have type 2 diabetes, mainly due to overweight and physical inactivity.

As of now, there is no cure for type 2 diabetes. However, early diagnosis and some lifestyle changes can certainly make a big difference. Losing weight, eating healthy and exercising regularly can do wonders in controlling the disease.
