Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress Jennifer Mistry, who plays Mrs Sodhi in the TV show, has accused TMKOC makers, including producer Asit Modi, project head Sohil Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj, of sexual harassment. The actress has already quit the show and has filed a complaint against the makers. Now, reacting to the same, accused Sohil Ramani has said that the actress is ‘desperate’ and that the allegation is false. He also termed it as ‘cheap propaganda’.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress Jennifer claimed that she gave her last shot on March 6 and never returned to the sets. However, Ramani claims that her contract was terminated by the makers. He told HT, “We removed her from the show three months ago and now she is desperate. She is not getting work, so she is doing this to blackmail us. It is cheap for publicity.”
He further added, “She has been working with us for 15 years, shooting has a lot of ups and downs. Gave it. We have a lot. Evidence against him.”
On the other hand, TMKOC producer Asit Modi rubbished Jennifer Mistry’s sexual harassment allegation saying it is baseless. He told TOI, “It is just a fake and baseless allegation and there is no truth in it. She is just trying to malign my image. This is my real reaction and I am not trying to make excuses or cover up Everyone knows how I am.” in real life. We removed him from the show and my team. My director and team asked her to leave the show. We have all the evidence and I am not speaking without thinking. My production will send you all the proofs and documents very soon”
“We will take legal action as she is trying to defame both me and the show. Since we have terminated her services, she is making these baseless allegations,” he added.

The direction team and production house of TMKOC also released a statement against Jennifer Mistry and said, “She lacked basic discipline on the sets and was not paying attention to her work. Jennifer Mistry claimed that she left the show after the producers misbehaved with her when she tried to leave for half a day, which she had already informed the team about. He said it is a ‘malevolent’ place and the people working in TMKOC are ‘bonded labour’.
