Jennifer Mistry, best known for her role of Mrs Roshan Sodhi in the show, quit the show after 15 years and accused producer Asit Modi of sexual harassment. Adding to this, Monica Bhadoria aka Bawri recently claimed that TMKOC makers harassed her while working on the show. He said that thoughts of suicide came to his mind at that time. She also opened up about the toxic environment on the sets of the show and how her payments were delayed by over a year by the makers.

Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal vs Asit Modi
On May 11, 2023, Jennifer made serious allegations of sexual harassment against Asit Modi. She claimed that the makers misbehaved with her when she tried to leave for half a day, which she had already informed the team about, following which she left the show. He said it is a ‘male dominated’ place and the people working in TMKOC are ‘bonded labour’. According to a TOI report, Jennifer Mistry has filed a complaint of sexual misconduct at workplace against Modi, project head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj. The actress claimed that she had given her last shot on March 6 and never returned to the sets.
Responding to the same, accused Sohil Ramani said that the actress (Jennifer) is ‘desperate’ and the allegation is fabricated. He also called it ‘cheap propaganda’. At the same time, the producer of the show, Asit Modi, rejected the allegation of sexual harassment of Jennifer Mistry and said that it is baseless. He said that he has removed Jennifer from the show and he has all the proofs. “This is just a fake and baseless allegation and there is no truth in it. She is just trying to malign my image. We sacked her from the show and my team. My director and team asked her to leave the show We have everything.” Evidence and I am not talking just like that. Monika Bhadoriya accuses TMKOC makers
Talking to India TV Monika Bhadoria said, “They (TMKOC makers) misbehave and misbehave with people. They treat us like dogs. They usually stop everyone’s money and When I left, they also stopped my payment which was given after 1 year.” I used to quarrel a lot; I often went to the office and he was never there, and he always asked the team to inform me that he was not there.”
Accusing the producers of withholding her dues, she said, “Many times they didn’t pay my money. They did a lot of wrong things while helping me. My mother was a cancer patient, she didn’t have time.” , But they didn’t let me go there on time. I used to stay in the hospital at night and come for shoots during the day on an emergency basis when I had no work to do. Jennifer took a dig at Mandar Chandwadkar
Responding to Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal’s allegations, Mandar Chandwadkar claimed, “I am wondering why she did this. I have no clue about what transpired between them. This is not a male-dominated place. It’s a happy place with a healthy environment.” Following his claims, Jennifer criticized Mandar for supporting Asit Kumar Modi. Mandar is a man, he said, ‘he will do what Asit Kumar Modi says’. She told, “Mandar knows every single part of my life, every single minute of my life, he is very close to me. Malav Rajda supports Jennifer Mistry
After the shocking revelation, the makers released a statement calling Jennifer an undisciplined, abusive nature and misbehaving with everyone. However, Malav Rajda, former director of TMKOC, has termed the allegations as baseless and false.
Rajda, who directed Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal for 14 years, told ETimes, “Jennifer is one of the happiest people on the set. She is a happy person and blends in well with everyone. Be it the technical team, the direction Be it the team, DOP, hair-makeup, or co-stars, she had a good rapport with everyone on the set. I have been on the set for 14 years and Jennifer has never misbehaved with anyone in front of me. Not abused.”

On May 26, Jennifer Mistry recorded her statement against TMKOC makers at Powai police station. She had revealed, “I went to Powai police station yesterday and recorded my statement. I reached there around 12 noon and left at 6:15 pm. I have given my complete statement to them. I was there for 6 hours. Now, the law will take its course.”
Against Asit Modi
An FIR has been lodged against Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Modi, the show’s operations head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj for sexual harassment. A case has been registered against the three TMKOC makers under sections 354 and 509 of the IPC.
Jennifer demands public apology
Jennifer reportedly claimed that the makers were trying to create confusion and leveling baseless allegations against her. She said, “They have leveled many serious and false allegations against me. If I was so problematic then why did they tolerate me for so long? Why was I brought back on the show after Dilkush left the show. I said this on the first day.” Saying to I want a public apology from him.
