Tasneem Sheikh is playing the role of Rakhi Dave in Anupamaa. However, he has been missing from the show for a long time.

Tasneem Sheikh, who played the role of Rakhi Dave in Anupama, has been missing from the show for a long time. Recently the actress opened up about it and revealed that she is open to taking up other projects as well. However, Tasneem also clarified that this does not mean that she will leave the Rupali Ganguly starrer show.

“Initially, I had a strong role and played the vamp in the show. Who was always troubling and taunting Anupama. I am glad that the production house chose me for this role. And I also understand that your track may not be in focus every day. But, in the last few months, I haven’t had much to do on the show. I will definitely continue working with him, but I want to take up some other projects now that I have the time.”

“The creative team has also agreed and they are okay if I take something else with it. I have no plans to quit Anupama, but I feel since I can do other things with it, why not?” said the actress.

Talking about the roles she is looking for, Tasneem shared that she wants to do something different than what she is doing in Anupamaa. “As an actor, you want to do more work and do different types of roles. If I am playing a mother-in-law here, I want to do something different in other shows. Before Anupama, I was a part of Salim Anarkali. So I hope the makers don’t assume that I am so engrossed with Anupama that I can’t do other things.”

Talking about Anupama, the show has been on top of the TRP charts ever since its premiere. It stars Rupali Ganguly, Gaurav Khanna and Sudhanshu Pandey in lead roles.
