TDP demands probe into TDR bonds scam involving Tirupati civic body | Hyderabad News – Times of India

TIRUPATI: TDP demanded a probe into the Transferrable development rights (TDR) bonds scam involving the Tirupati civic body.
Addressing a press conference at Nellore on Saturday, TDP’s state official spokesperson Anam Venkataramana Reddy accused Tirupati legislator Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, his son and deputy mayor Bhumana Abhinay Reddy as the actual conspirators behind the TDR bonds scam.
“The Tirupati civic body issued 373 TDR bonds for laying 17 master plan roads in the temple city. The overall financial implication linked to the TDR bonds issued was approximately Rs.4000 crore. Many close aides of the Bhumana family took the power of attorneys and got involved in the Nexus”, Anam Venkataramana Reddy alleged.
Stating that the revelations made by him were only a tip of the iceberg, the TDP spokesperson claimed that a detailed inquiry will be ordered to probe into the TDR bonds scam once the TDP comes back to power in the state.
