The Indian team had to face defeat at the hands of Australia in the World Test Championship final. This was Team India’s second consecutive defeat in the WTC final. Earlier in 2021, New Zealand defeated India by eight wickets in the final. Former cricketers criticized the Indian team management’s decision of not playing world number one Test bowler Ravichandran Ashwin in the final. However, after the defeat, Ashwin broke his silence on all these matters. He has given a statement on the WTC final by tweeting.
