Belagavi: Rajya Sabha member Iranna Kadadi clarified that there are technical hurdles in extending the Vande Bharat train up to Belagavi.
Train services can be increased once the technical issues are resolved, he told reporters here on Friday. “At present, Vande Bharat train service is available only till Dharwad. People of Belagavi were expecting train service till Belagavi. The train with a speed of 110 kmph takes 6.5 hours to reach Dharwad from Bengaluru. Running at a speed of 130 kmph, it can cover the distance in 4-5 hours. Due to the doubling work, we could not bring the train here.
On the completion of nine years of administration of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government, he said a month-long special program will be organized at Gandhi Bhavan from June 25 to highlight the achievements of the central government.
