Technology Centers inaugurated in three ITIs in Virudhunagar district

Chief Minister MK Stalin on Thursday inaugurated technology centers set up by Tata Technologies at three industrial training institutes at Virudhunagar, Sattur and Aruppukottai. Each new facility with Industry 4.0 standards comes to ₹34.65 crore.

The new ITI at Soolakkarai has a workshop building of 10.568 square feet with four classrooms, computer room, conference room and staff room.

The institute will now offer courses in Robotics and Digital Manufacturing, Mechanics Electrical Vehicles, Manufacturing Process Control and Automation and Advanced Manufacturing.

The new facility will help in industrial development and thus economic growth in the state. This will improve the employability of the youth. There were ITIs in the state offering 78 courses.
