As per reports, the film has recently crossed the Rs 200 crore mark, becoming the highest-grossing Malayalam film to date. After garnering a lot of success in Kerala, the film is all set to release its Telugu-dubbed version in theatres to reach a wider audience base.
As Manjummel Boys has impressed the Malayali audience with its engaging storyline and extraordinary performances, the makers have decided to release the Telugu-dubbed version of the film in theatres. On March 26, Mythri Movie Makers took to social media and announced the news of acquiring the rights to the highest-grossing Malayalam film.
They expressed their excitement by stating, “The highest-grossing Malayalam film – #ManjummelBoys is now coming to entertain the Telugu audience. Grand release worldwide on April 6. Telugu release by @MythriOfficial, @Primeshowtweets” & @SukumarWritings.” This collaboration between the producers has allowed the Telugu audience to witness the magic created by the Manjummel Boys in theatres.
Talking about the film, Majummel Boys is based on a true incident, and the plot of the project is based on a group of friends from Kochi whose vacation in Kodaikanal takes a drastic turn when one of them goes missing in the treacherous depths of the Guna caves. Then, the remaining friends try to find him and take him out of the depths.
The survival thriller in Malayalam features a stellar cast including Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Lal Jr., and others. The film is directed by Chidambaram S Poduval and produced by Soubin Shahir under the Parava Films banner in collaboration with Sree Gokulam Cinemas. Reportedly, the film will be released on Disney Plus Hotstar on April 5.
