The film’s stuntman Logan Holladay flawlessly executed eight and a half cannon rolls in a breathtaking video.

David Leitch’s upcoming film The Fall Guy has achieved a significant milestone. Starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt in the lead, the film’s stuntman Logan Holladay was presented with a Guinness World Record in the category of the most cannon rolls in a car. He took up the responsibility of performing the driving stunts for Ryan Gosling. The Fall Guy is a movie adaptation of the hit 1980s CBS drama, bearing the same title. The film is infused with high-octane action sequences, mind-blowing explosions and death-defying stunts overseen by Logan Holladay. The Fall Guy will premiere theatrically on May 3 in India.

On March 13, Universal Pictures and 87North revealed that Logan Holladay broke a Guinness World Record during the film’s production, reported Comicbook. He set the benchmark for the highest number of cannon rolls executed in a car during a solo stunt. Holladay drove a modified Jeep Grand Cherokee in the film to perform the stunt that etched his name into the annals of cinematic history. He successfully performed a breathtaking cannon roll, propelling the car into a series of eight-and-a-half rotations.

The record for the highest number of canon rolls was previously held by Adam Kirley in the 2006 film Casino Royale, starring Daniel Craig.

Reflecting on the monumental achievement, David Leitch in a statement said, “We wanted to deliver action that was true to the spirit of the stunt community by incorporating techniques that have become somewhat of a lost art.”

“We didn’t just set out to achieve the cannon roll; we set out to break records and make a statement. Logan executed it flawlessly and showcased why he’s a standout in the stunt community,” added David Leitch.

According to a report by People, Logan Holladay revealed that the moment he learned about The Fall Guy was going to production, he wanted to be a part of the project. “After I hit the eight and a half rolls, I had a pretty good feeling that I had broken the record because it felt like the spinning was never going to stop. It was a surreal moment and I’m incredibly proud of what the team achieved,” he said.

The Fall Guy revolves around an ex-stuntman Colt Seavers who gets back in the game after a celebrity, working in a film directed by his former flame goes missing.
