The Chief Minister said that the Governor has not only acted against the principles of the DMK but also against the government. “He did not fully and properly read the text prepared by the government and approved by him, which was not only regrettable, but also a violation of legislative conventions,” Stalin said.
Moving the motion, Stalin said that the Assembly should relax Rule 17 and resolve that only the printed text and the Tamil version read by the Speaker be recorded in the Assembly.
