Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a great communicator and motivator in highlighting the work of unsung heroes and organizations across the country through his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio talk, which was praised by Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Sunday.

The Governor, who organized a special screening of the 100th episode of Prime Minister’s radio address at Raj Bhavan, said it has created a revolution as he is the only leader across the world to directly interact with 100 crore people through radio . Which had found a new sheen after being heavily televised in recent years.

“Every last Sunday people across the country tune in to the radio to hear Shri Modi tell the great service hitherto unknown common man changemakers and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). They have mentioned everything about space startups in villages and our culture for the whole world to take notice,” she said.

PM’s radio talk played a big role in convincing people to take the COVID-19 vaccine shedding barriers, popularizing millet-based food, cleanliness campaigns like Swachh Bharat, hoisting the national flag, converting vegetable waste into electricity, organ transplant, wastage. Around 70 lakh children and 40 lakh NGOs participated in the cleanliness drive. Earlier, Dr Soundararajan participated in planting 100 saplings inside the Raj Bhavan, inaugurated a photo exhibition and also released special booklets in the presence of eminent citizens and others to commemorate the occasion.

In the PM’s radio talk, the Governor praised mountaineer Malavath Purna, handloom artist Hariprasad, who designed the G20 logo, Chow. Venkat Reddy for popularizing food items enriched with Vitamin D, Dhruva Space founder Sanjay Nekkanti, Social activist Meera Shenoy for the cause of jobs for the disabled, Dancer Rajkumar Naik, K.
