Adah Sharma, the lead actress of ‘The Kerala Story’ is currently making headlines as the film has garnered widespread attention. The film has become a topic of discussion mainly because of its controversial subject. Despite protests, mixed reviews and demands for a ban, the film opened to a successful run at the box office. In a recent interview with DNA, Adah Sharma shared extensively how her mother and grandmother reacted after watching her film.

Adah told that she was quite nervous about her grandmother’s reaction to the rape scene in the film. Adah’s grandmother is a school teacher and she calls him the strongest person in the family. “I have to admit that my 90-year-old grandmother is the strongest (member). After watching the film, she described it as an educational and informative experience and said, ‘I want all my students to watch it. I told them it’s An adult film, and then she suggested that it should be a U/A film so that even little girls should see it, be aware of it, and that would help them be more vigilant”.

Adah also revealed that her mother and grandmother knew the story when she signed the film. While meeting the victim, Sharma also took her mother along. Even though her family knew about the film, Adah was nervous about how her 90-year-old grandmother would react to the film. “My mother and grandmother knew the story. I was terrified of grandmother’s reaction, especially with those rape scenes. All I worried about was how she would react to all those disturbing moments,” says the actress .
