‘The Kerala Story’ promotes RSS propaganda: CM Pinarayi Vijayan | Thiruvananthapuram News – Times of India

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has strongly criticized the film ‘The’ kerala story‘, stating that by portraying the state which is the land of secularism as the capital of terrorism, the film promotes the propaganda of the Sangh Parivar.
“Propaganda films and the targeting of the Muslim community in them should be seen as attempts by the Union forces to take advantage of vote bank politics. Using ‘love jihad’, which has been declared baseless by the investigating agencies, the Union Home Ministry and the courts, The film’s part as the central theme is part of such a calculated ploy.Former Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy said in Parliament that there is no such thing as ‘love jihad’. Regardless, it is used in the film only to defame the state. In front of the world, the forces of the Sangh Parivar are trying to destroy the atmosphere of religious and communal harmony prevailing in the state,” the CM said.
He said that when they have realized that family politics cannot sell in the state, other tactics like using films based on false allegations are being adopted. He said, “The film’s trailer peddles a lie that 32,000 girls from the state have been converted to Islam and inducted into the terrorist organization Islamic State. This concoction is the product of the RSS’s lie-factory.” ,
He said that it is wrong to justify those who try to create rift in the society in the name of creative freedom. He said that creative freedom is not a license to communalise society, spread lies and divide people. “The government will take legal action against such anti-social steps,” he added.
BJP justifies the film
Meanwhile, BJP state president K Surendran justified the film and said that the CPM’s stand is that anything that exposes terrorism cannot be allowed in the state. The people of the state have clearly understood the selective secularism and selective creative freedom of the CPI(M). He said that people do not expect impartiality from CPM, which is under terrorists. He asked if someone says that terrorism is strong here then how can it be called a hate campaign against the state. Surendran said that the reality cannot be covered by just saying that it is Kerala.
