HYDERABAD: The owner of an elevator installation firm and his three associates were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly killing an employee who was causing losses to the company by taking private deals for repairs and installations.

The Kushaiguda police registered a case on June 24 following a complaint by her father SK Ghaffar. On June 25, the police received information about a body of an unknown person at Musi under Abdullapurmet police station limits. Ghaffar identified the victim as his son.
Suspecting Ravi’s involvement, the police launched a search operation and arrested him from Cheriyal in Keesara. Based on his confession, his friends Srikanth Reddy and Shekhar and driver Srinu were arrested from their homes on Wednesday. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the murder.
Ravi told the police that after some work assigned to the company was cancelled, it was found on interrogation of the customers that Mohsin had made separate deals with them at low rates. Ravi said that he decided to kill Mohsin because he kept doing so despite being warned.
As per the plan, on 21 June, Ravi sent his drivers Srinu and Srikanth to pick up Mohsin from AS Rao Nagar under the guise of going to work in Karimnagar. At Dongalamisamma X Road near Shamirpet, sitting in the car with Ravi Shekhar.
They stopped the vehicle near Turkapalli and offered Mohsin a drink. Police said that later, Ravi and his accomplices thrashed Mohsin in the car, strangulated him with a towel and dumped the body in Musi from a bridge at Bacharam in Abdullapurmet.
