The Phone (2) first teaser is nothing: What to expect – Times of India

Nothing Phone (2), the successor to Carl Pei’s second venture, Nothing to Phone (1), is coming this summer.
First teased at MWC 2023, the phone (2) will debut this summer, the company confirmed. While we are still waiting for the date, it could be unveiled sometime between June and August.
Nothing has been revealed in details but the company has shared a short teaser giving us a glimpse of its upcoming smartphone. And from the teaser it looks like the Phone (2) will stick to the same glyph interface as the Phone (1) with a transparent design.

The company is putting a lot of emphasis on the ‘premium’ experience it wants to deliver with the phone(2). Pei has already said that the phone (2) will be a ‘more premium’ offering than its predecessor, adding that the “leap in power and performance” will come at a premium.
At MWC 2023, Nothing furthered its partnership with Qualcomm, confirming that the upcoming phone (2) will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen series chipset. While nothing is certain yet, rumors are rife that the phone (2) will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. While it’s still a year-old chipset, it’s an upgrade to the Snapdragon 778G+ inside the phone (1).
In an interview, Pei said that Nothing is investing significantly in software development, and that it is working heavily on software for the Phone 2.
Earlier rumors suggested a launch window between July and September in the summer season. So, it’s release timing coincides with the first anniversary of the Phone 1.
Like Pei does every time, we expect the Nothing Phone (2) to reveal more details in the coming days to know how ‘premium’ the Nothing Phone (2) will be.
