Kumar’s next feature film “Raksha Bandhan” is all set to rock the box office with “Lal Singh Chaddha”. Aamir Khan And Kareena Kapoor KhanBecause both the films are going to be released in theaters on August 11.
The 52-year-old superstar said that he is hopeful that both the films will do well at the ticket windows. “It’s a big day and it’s a three-day weekend. I believe two films can run smoothly (release) at the box office. Due to COVID-19, the industry has suffered a loss of two and a half years And so it (confrontation) will happen. We will see two films releasing in the same week. In the past, my film ‘Welcome’ and Aamir’s film ‘Taare Zameen Par’ released at the same time and both did a good job I hope these new films also work,” Kumar told reporters at a press conference. “Raksha Bandhan”, a comedy-drama, marks Kumar’s second collaboration with filmmaker Aanand L Rai after 2021’s “Atrangi Re”.
Kumar said that he enjoyed working with Rai so much that he would like to work with the director again. He said that when Rai narrated the story of “Raksha Bandhan”, he immediately said yes to it. “Some stories are universal and they touch you (of the narrative) within five minutes. Even with ‘Good News’ on, within three to five minutes, I liked it and I said it right.”
He said, ‘I enjoyed working in this film. This is one of my best films. I am thankful to Aanand L Rai who has broken his own record of making two films in a year. Anand ji is a very nice person. I have done two films with him and if ‘Raksha Bandhan’ works, I will do one more film with him.”
Himesh Reshammiya Irshad Kamil has composed the music and Irshad Kamil has written the lyrics for “Raksha Bandhan”. The makers on Wednesday launched the first song ‘Tere Saath Hoon Main’.
