they vote before getting married

For many, their wedding dates were fixed long before the Election Commission fixed the dates for the assembly elections in Karnataka. However, not everyone decided to pass up the chance to get inked before getting married. The bride and groom were seen all decked up at their respective polling stations to vote on their wedding day.

Sahil Dhariwal, son of a businessman, cast his vote in Basavanagudi constituency with his parents in his wedding attire.

Bride Melita Soras of Udupi’s Kapu constituency arrives at the polling booth in a white gown.

A groom Vinod was seen in Shivamogga’s Sagar, who had reached the polling booth to cast his vote just before he was to marry Pallavi.

Several other polling stations also welcomed ‘married voters’, some with family members just before their wedding, while others with their spouses after the ceremony.
