The Napo baby debate has always been a raging topic on the internet. It refers to people whose one or both parents hold significant privileges or connections are at the center of the discussion. Nepotism is one such topic which never goes out of fashion and is in news all the time. From Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Bhatt to Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor, almost every star kid has faced backlash as part of this debate. Recently New York Magazine published an article on Hollywood’s “Nepo Babies”. After this, a Twitter user named Zara Rahim shared the picture of the world’s biggest nepotism family. He shared the picture of Bachchan family.
In the picture you can see Amitabh Bachchan with his wife Jaya Bachchan, son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has also won the title of Miss World. “The biggest nepotism family in the world,” read the caption.
However, it seems that netizens were not quite convinced. They even schooled him for the posting without any prior knowledge. “Aishwarya Rai is not a nepo baby, she comes from a middle-class South Indian family and has worked hard to become successful. Also, she was well-known in #thatfamilybeforemarrying,” wrote a Twitter user.
Another user wrote, “Amitabh started off as second and third lead in Saat Hindustani, Anand etc. Even in films like Parwana, initially he played negative characters. Jaya was an FTII gold medalist, so good that Shabana Azmi decided to enroll in the institute after seeing her performance.

This comes just after a New York Magazine article on Hollywood’s “Nepo babies” went viral. The article talks about the cultural obsession with the said group of people and the origin of the term was found as tweeted by a Twitter user.

When it comes to stars coming from star families, Bollywood is definitely not behind Hollywood in any way, especially with the recent crop of “star kids” like Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday among others.
