Three Private Schools In City Booked For Sending Students To Pm’s Roadshow | Coimbatore News – Times of India

Coimbatore: Police on Thursday registered a case against three private schools for bringing 22 students to participate in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow that was held in the city on March 18.
Students of Chinmaya Matriculation School and Chinmaya CBSE School at Vadavali, and Chinmaya School at RS Puram had participated in the roadshow dressed as Hindu deities and wearing saffron shawls with the party symbol.They were also made to recite poems at the roadshow.
The school education department and the assistant returning officer, P Suresh, had earlier initiated an inquiry and sent notices to the three schools. As it was a breach of model code of conduct, the assistant returning officer had on Wednesday night filed a complaint with the Saibaba Colony police.
Police inspector Saravanan subsequently registered a case against the three private schools, which function under a single management, under Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act on Thursday night.
