Three teenage boys drown in Satluj river in Punjab | Ludhiana News – Times of India

LUDHIANA: Three teenage boys drowned in Satluj River on Sunday. A group of five friends had gone to the river to take a bath of which two survived and three drowned in the river.
The victims are Prince Yadav, 16, Rohit Kumar, 16, Anshu Gupta, 16 – all resident of Bhattiyan. The police by Sunday night recovered two of the dead bodies from the river.
Inspector Harjeet Singh, SHO at Salem Tabri police stationfive teenagers had gone to the Satluj river on Sunday to take a dip in the water.Meanwhile, three of them started drowning in the river. The other two raised an alarm to seek help but to no avail.
Both the youngsters rushed home and informed the families. Thereafter the police were informed.
Inspector added the police called the divers who started searching for the bodies of the teenagers. The police have recovered two dead bodies so far. Further the search operation is on to find the third dead body.
