Tiger found dead in Dudhwa Wildlife Sanctuary, Uttar Pradesh. Lucknow News – Times of India

Lucknow: A decomposed body of a tiger, about eight years old, was recovered from the Kukurgadha lake in the Mailani range of Lucknow. Dudhwa Tiger Reserve on Friday.
Prima facie the tiger died four-five days back. No suspicious object was found from where the body was lying. The organs were found intact except for the worms that had infested the carcass.
The exact reason will be known after the post mortem report comes. The body has been sent to IVRI Bareilly for postmortem. B Prabhakar, area director of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve, said, “The body was lying there for a long time. The patrol party recovered it from the spot due to strong stench.”
This is the fourth death of a tigress in Dudhwa Tiger Reserve (DTR) since January.
On Friday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the death of tigers in the DTR in the last few days. He has sought a detailed report on the cause of death.
The CM has directed Minister of State for Forests (Independent Charge) AK Saxena, ACS Forest Manoj Kumar Singh and other senior forest officials to visit the reserve to investigate the cause of death and send a detailed report.
