Tihar gangster Tillu murder: accused in court shootout, Yogesh Tunda and his gang attacked with iron rod in jail

Gangster Tillu Tajpuria was killed in a gang war in Delhi’s Tihar Jail on Tuesday. Tillu was accused of shoot out in Rohini court. Yogesh Tunda and his gang members attacked him with iron rods, in which he was seriously injured. He was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in Delhi, where he was declared brought dead. Second gangster has been killed in Tihar Jail in a month.

Delhi Police’s Additional DCP West District Akshat Kaushal said that at around 7 am today, information was received from DDU Hospital about two injured people, who were brought to the hospital from Tihar Jail. One of them Sunil alias Tillu was brought unconscious. He was later declared brought dead. While another person, Rohit is undergoing treatment and is out of danger.

According to jail sources, Yogesh Tunda was lodged in jail number 8 in Tihar and Tillu Tajpuria was lodged in jail number 9 when they were attacked.

Who was Tillu Tajpuria?
Gangster Tillu Tajpuria was a student of Delhi University and passed out from Shraddhanand College. His friendship with Jitendra Gogi was famous during college days. Both never contested directly in Delhi University elections but both used to field their candidates.

Tillu was the mastermind of shootout in Rohini court
Tillu Tajpuria was the mastermind of the shootout that took place on 24 September 2021 at Rohini Court in Delhi. Tillu had trained both the shooters to kill gangster Jitendra Gogi in the court. Training was also given to look like lawyers, to behave professionally like them. Both the shooters were killed in the shootout in the court. In this case, a 111-page charge sheet was presented by the police.
