Tirupur: Private unaided schools receiving applications in excess of the number of seats reserved under the 25% quota of the RTE Act will use the lucky draw method to admit children to class 1.
The applications for the academic year 2023-24 were received between April 20 and May 18. Of these, 228 private and self-financed schools in Tiruppur district received more applications than the number of seats reserved. Thus the selection process will take place on Tuesday, May 23 at 10 am, officials said. The parents have been asked to attend the selection process in the school where they applied.
