Asit Modi again on target TMKOC star Monika Bhadauria has leveled strong allegations against the producer of the hit show.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) star Monica Bhadauria, who is known for playing the role of Bawri in the show, has made some shocking allegations against the producer of the comedy show, Asit Kumar Modi. Monica claimed that she was brutally treated on the sets of the show. Her claim comes soon after another TMKOC actress Jennifer Mistry accused Asit of sexual harassment.
Speaking with Hindustan Times, Monika claimed that she didn’t get her due payments worth Rs 4 to 5 lakhs even after three months of her leaving the show in 2019. “I have fought for my money for over a year. They kept every artist’s money – whether it was Raj (Anadkat), Gurucharan (Singh) Bhai – just for torture. Unke paas paise ki kami nahi hai,” she said.
Monica described her experience as ‘hell’ and said she did not sympathize when her mother was admitted to hospital for treatment for her cancer. “I would spend the night in the hospital and they would call me early in the morning for shoots. Even if I say that my mental state is not right, they will force me to come. The worst thing was that even after coming to the shoot, I used to wait, I had no work.
The actress said that after her mother’s death, Asit did not call her to condole. Instead, a week later, he asked her to report to the set. “I was in shock but he called me only seven days after my mother’s death and asked me to report to the set. When I said that I was not well, his team said, ‘Hum aapko paisa de rahe hai, hum jab chahe aapko ko stand hona hoga aapki mummy admit ho ya koi.’ I went on the sets because I had no choice and I just cried everyday. On top of that they used to torture and misbehave. He used to call me on the set an hour before the call time. There is so much hooliganism on their sets. He (Asit) says ‘I am a god’,” said Monika.
The TMKOC star decided to quit the show when she realized that she couldn’t handle the people anymore. “Maine bola mujhe kaam hi nahi karna aisi jagah jaha pe aapko kaam karke aisa lage ki issey better suicide karlo. Jo koi aaraha hai badtameezi se baat kar raha hai, sohil sabse badtameezi se baat karte hai,” she said.
Monika added that the cast will not speak against Asit. Addressing Jennifer’s claims, Monika added, “Jennifer (Mistry Bansiwal, actor) ji ne bhi baat nahi ki when others left the show. Jab unke saath jeezein hui toh wo boli. Everyone is proud of his job. Jitna torture unhone kiya hai kisi ne nahi kiya hai.” She went on to claim, “Unhone mere saath bohot ganda behave kiya hai. And their EP Sohil Ramani is the worst. tha.”
Asit and the team of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah are yet to react to the claims.
