Tragic Accident: 12-Year-Old Girl Killed in Bus Collision | Ranchi News – Times of India

Dumka: A 12-year-old schoolgirl died and two others were seriously injured after the scooter they were riding was hit by a speeding school bus near DAV School at Kasteyars Town in Deoghar on Friday. The girl, Rishika Kumari of Bada Bajar Mohalla under the town police station of Deoghar, was a student of Class IX with Saint Francis School hile her cousin Priyanshu and his sister Diwisha, who were riding pillion with Rishika, study in Class II in DAV School.
Witnesses said Rishika was about to drop Priyanshu and Diwisha at DAV School before going to her own school when a bus coming from the opposite direction hit her scooter and dragged the vehicle for a few metres before coming to a halt.
All the three injured schoolchildren were rushed to the Deoghar Sadar Hospital where Rishika died. “Both the injured children are undergoing treatment at Deoghar Sadar Hospital. Their condition is stable. The body has been handed over to the family after the post mortem,” police said.
The driver of the bus owned by Jharkhand Armed Police managed to escape leaving the vehicle behind.
