Santhanam is one of the biggest comedians in the Tamil film industry. He has played lead roles in many comedy films. Now, he is back to his favorite genre once again with his upcoming film DD Returns directed by S Prem Anand. It will be released in theaters on 28 July. Yesterday the 20 second teaser of the film was shared. The trailer of the film was launched today. Full of adventure, witty comments and entertainment, the trailer was posted by Santhanam on Instagram. This is Santhanam’s first big release in 2023. This niche horror comedy has generated a lot of anticipation among fans since its announcement in April. Santhanam and S Prem Anand have previously worked in a TV show called Lolu Sabha.
The promising trailer of DD Returns depicts a unique story. A group of friends can be seen participating in high risk scary games; Meanwhile, they are dealing with the conflicts that arise throughout the story. It looks like the film will be full of entertainment. DD Returns is the third part of the franchise. Earlier, two parts had already released – Dilukku Dhuddu 1 in 2016 and Dhilukku Dhuddu 2 released in 2019. Both gave Santhanam a huge momentum in his career.
Z5 has acquired the digital rights of DD Returns. C Ramesh Kumar has produced the film. The cast also includes Surbhi, Radin Kingsley, Deepa Shankar, Munishkanth, Dheena, Rajendran, Pradeep Rawat, Masoom Shankar and Lolu Sabha Maran.
Santhanam has also acted in films such as Agent Kannaiyaram, Dikilonu and Paris Jayaraj, which performed well at the box office. He will also be seen in the Tamil films Servera Sundaram and Madha Gaja Raja.
