Trial Period when director Aleya Sen offered me and Chrome was about a mother and different relationships of a woman in that phase, it is about a single woman mother finding her love story which is different from college love stories is, and that’s exactly what got me excited about taking on this role. I am excited to premiere the film on Jio Cinema, where the viewership is high and the audience is apt for the film. The Trial Period family has made this film with a lot of love and we hope our honest effort will be appreciated by the audience.”

Also, working with such incredibly talented actors and the Chrome Pictures team has been a rewarding journey for me. All of us were personally invested in the film, and each character in it will leave you with a different perspective, therein lies the beauty of Aleya Sen’s abilities as a director. As a filmmaker, I love to explore the unconventional dynamics of human relationships. ‘Father on Rent’ originated as an idea from the perspective of a no-nonsense, thought-provoking Gen Alpha child who makes an unexpected demand that turns his mother’s world upside down. The film offers a quirky take on the complexities of incomplete families in today’s society. Apart from the unconventional pairing of Genelia and Manav, I was excited to work with a great ensemble cast that includes actors like Gajraj Rao, Shakti Kapoor, Sheeba Chaddha and finally Zidane.
