Twitter is ready to give a tough competition to LinkedIn with this new feature

Social media giant Twitter is all set to take on the likes of LinkedIn and LinkedIn with a new feature. Twitter’s new feature will allow verified organizations to find new talent on the platform by leveraging its 528 million users.

This feature was first noticed by app researcher Neema Ovji. Ouji tweeted a screenshot of the proposed new feature on Thursday. According to the post shared by Ouji, Twitter is marketing the feature as a way for companies to attract top talent for open positions.

“Twitter Hiring is a free feature for verified organizations to post jobs, display jobs on your company profile, and attract top talent to your open positions.” Screenshot read by Ouji.

Verified organizations will be able to display up to 5 jobs on their company profile, which can be viewed whenever someone opens the company’s Twitter profile. These organizations will also get a supported application tracking system, or XML, to add jobs to Twitter within minutes.

Although this may come as a surprise to many, Elon Musk In response to a post in May, the social media giant briefly hinted that it might bring the Jobs feature to the Twitter app. Interestingly, Musk-led Twitter 2.0 also made its first acquisition in May in the form of job-matching tech startup LaSky.

At first glance, it may seem like Twitter is adding Jobs to its app to compete with companies like LinkedIn. However, it has long been a part of Elon Musk’s plan to build an ‘Everything App’. Musk’s Everything app could look similar to China’s WeChat, copying many of its features including payments, messaging and social networking.

After acquiring Twitter for $44 billion in October last year, Musk also said that Company X will be an accelerator in building The Everything App.
